CVDI: Check What Your AI Knew Before It Acts
Jimmy explains Context-Verified Decision Intelligence (CVDI): before AI acts, check that its information is current, traced to the real system and strong enough for the stakes.
The short answer
Context-Verified Decision Intelligence (CVDI) checks what an AI knew before it is allowed to act. Three checks: is the information current, does it come from the real system of record, and is it strong enough for what is at stake. The check lives outside the model, and stopped actions are logged alongside the ones that went through.

Questions this video answers
What is Context-Verified Decision Intelligence (CVDI)?
CVDI is an approach to AI-supported decisions: before an AI acts, the system verifies that the information behind the decision is current, traceable to its source and strong enough for the stakes.
Why isn’t a smarter AI model the fix?
A model can reason perfectly and still act on a stale number. In the inventory example, the agent reorders from yesterday’s count after the warehouse shipped thirty units. The model was right; the context was dead.
Where should the CVDI check live?
Outside the AI. The model does not grade its own homework. The check runs before the action and records what it stopped as well as what it allowed.
Who coined CVDI?
Jimmy Standaert, founder of RiGi Group and WhiteWater.ai, published the definition of Context-Verified Decision Intelligence on October 30, 2026.

Yesterday I said I'd fire an employee for this. You hired the AI that did it. Fix it. Here's how it goes down. Agent checks inventory. Sees forty units. Places the reorder. Model did everything right. Except that count was from yesterday, and the warehouse shipped thirty this morning. So now you've got a perfect decision built on a dead number. And everybody's sitting around arguing about how smart the model is. Wrong question. Once AI starts doing stuff, sending the email, changing the record, placing the order, there's only one question that matters. What did it know when it pulled the trigger? That's CVDI. Context-Verified Decision Intelligence. And yeah, we made that up. Nobody had a name for it, so we had to invent the term... and then kinda had to build the whole category to go with it. Anyway. Before AI gets to act, you check three things. Is it current? Where'd that number come from, the real system or something the AI dug up? Is it strong enough for what's on the line? And that check? It MUST live outside of the AI. The model doesn't get to grade its own homework... EVER. And you log what you stopped, not just what went through. That list is your proof the thing actually works. A genius working off last month's numbers is still wrong. Check what it knew. I'm Jimmy. That's CVDI.
